Everyone is either postponing or changing the plans of their wedding due to this pandamic, the “New Normal” states that we can have weddings for the time being with a guest list of 50 people. This includes our near and dear ones and all the vendors as well. Due to this, photography and videography team is also reduced to 2-3 members. Isn’t that a bummer considering the kind of team strengths we are all used to at weddings?
So, from last three months, we have interacted with a lot of brides and grooms (to-be) to understand what they are thinking. While it is a mixed bag of decisions in terms of when and how their weddings should be, we have established that a lot of Brides and Grooms are looking to have small intimate weddings at home sometime this year.
This leads to the next and the most important question – If I am getting married at home and guest count is 20-25 or less, why would I need a professional Wedding Photographer?
As wedding photographers, we have been in many different situations, variety of places and many crunch moments where we have to show our caliber and put our skill to use.
Considering this we have put together few reasons why you should hire a professional wedding photographer for your intimate home wedding,
1. They are masters of the craft
Yes, you read that right. It takes a master craftsman, one who has acquired his skill through years of shooting experience and has learned and mastered the techniques of wedding photography to create images that you can cherish for a lifetime. Professional wedding photographers know their way around important aspects of a wedding. They have honed their skill to levels where its second nature to capture meaningful pictures that matter the most.
2. They have high levels of situational awareness
One of the fundamental aspects of wedding photography is the knack of observation. Great photos are made when you observe the surroundings and are completely aware and in control of the situation at hand. Professional wedding photographers are masters of this. They are omnipresent and will make sure that ‘that moment’ is captured on camera. Thats what you pay for.
3. They know their business
From talking to clients and corresponding on emails to delivering mind blowing images, professional wedding photographers do it all. He/she could be a one man show or a full fledged team of 20 members, professional conduct in all aspects is guaranteed. Professionals also know about their business margins and hence can offer cost effective packages in these uncertain times. Understanding the difference between a cost effective deal and a whacked out bargain often is the difference between the photos and videos you get, the service you receive and the memories you can preserve.
To all the Brides and Grooms who have postponed the wedding to next year, do not worry. The “New Normal” is temporary. Indian Weddings are going to go back to all the shebang that we are known for. But until then, go the extra mile and hire a proper professional and be at peace !
